Thirsty Tuesday - Favorite Wine

Is Tuesday to early in the week to talk about wine? Well if so I apologize!  I wanted to briefly share my top 2 favorite wines of the moment!

Favorite Wine

I don't discriminate when it comes to wine - at least  not anymore!  I used to be a 100% white wine only drinker.  Starting first with good 'ol White Zin back in college (straight out of a martini glass if me and the roomies were feeling extra classy).  I quickly moved to Chardonnay and that stayed my wine of choice for quite awhile.  I remember being at a work dinner soon after graduating college and an older woman made me feel like I was a child since I ordered a white wine.  "Ohhhh you are young that explains why you are drinking that" and then turned her nose in the air and sipped on her Malbec.  At that moment, I knew I needed to branch out and try my hand at some reds (initially it was just so I could fit in during situations where people are sharing a bottle of wine without having to be difficult and ordering something else).  I first eased into the red territory with Pinot Noir and then after establishing a desire for the Pinot, I moved into Cabernet Sauvignons, then took a trip to Napa with my college besties and from then on - I decided I would drink anything!

 Introducing my current favorite wines:

Apothic Red Wine Blend

This has served as my "go-to" red wine over the past year when I didn't feel like putting in much effort to
decide which bottle had the coolest labelresearch a new brand of wine.  It doesn't disappoint!  It is usually about $9 a bottle at the store so it won't bust your budget!

Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc

This is a new recent favorite.  My Junior League committee usually goes out to get dinner and drinks at Breadwinners after our meetings because they have half priced bottles of wine on Wednesdays.  Depending on how many girls we have, we usually just order a few bottles and all share.  Over the past year, this bottle has become a regular for us!  It can be found at stores for about $12 but of course way more at a restaurant.

What are your favorite wines??

PS Shout out to Jordon for introducing me to Polyvore which I used to make this cute little picture!  I am now obsessed! #newbieblogger
